Dress Code

Students have the right to regulate their personal appearance; however, the school reserves the right to bar students whose personal appearance is disruptive.

 

1.      Pants, skirts, and shorts must be knee length or longer when standing

2.      Pants must be worn at the waist with no undergarments showing.

3.      Pants and shorts with holes or frays above the knees are not permitted.

4.      Clothing sizes should be appropriate. Substantial over-sized clothing and tightfitting pants such as leggings are not permitted.

5.      Shoes must be worn at all times.

6.      Shirts/dresses must completely cover the front, back, stomach, and sides when students raise their arms. All tops must cover the shoulder area (three inches wide), and not expose cleavage.

7.      Any attire that disrupts/interferes with the educational process is prohibited. 

8.      Clothing that is distracting, revealing, overly suggestive, or disruptive is not permitted.

9.      Hats, caps, hoods, scarves, gloves, sweatbands, and sunglasses are not to be worn inside.

10.  Students are not to wear conspicuous or ridiculous costumes, including any type of pajamas. 

11.  Inappropriate language, alcohol, tobacco, gang-related or drug symbols are not permitted.

12.  Wallet chains, sheer shirts/blouses, clothes exposing the midriff, low-cut shirts, etc. are not permitted. 

 

Students who are in violation of the dress code have the option to obtain clothing that meets the dress code or report to ISS for the remainder of the day or until suitable clothing is available.  Repeated violations will result in more extensive discipline.

 

Students who display undergarments will be serve detention/ISS/OSS.
